In warehouse loading operations for bagged powdered products such as laundry detergent, traditional manual handling or segmented conveying is not only inefficient, but also labor-intensive for workers, and the goods are prone to damage during transfer. To solve this problem, we designed and implemented a continuous conveying solution for a laundry detergent warehouse that runs directly from the warehouse interior to a 40-foot container truck. Through a combination of a fixed floor section, an inclined transition section, and an extension section inside the truck bed, the solution enables smooth, efficient loading of bagged laundry detergent, effectively improving operating efficiency and the working environment.
Solution Configuration and Equipment Selection
The core of this solution lies in the seamless connection of a three-section conveyor line. Based on the distance from the warehouse shipping outlet to the truck parking position and the depth of the 40-foot container truck bed, we selected the following equipment combination:
- Fixed Floor Section: a 20 m section of Powered Rubber-Covered Roller Conveyor. This conveyor section starts from the palletizing area or temporary storage area inside the warehouse and extends all the way to the edge of the loading platform. The surface of the rubber-covered rollers provides sufficient friction to stably convey bagged laundry detergent and prevent slipping, while the flexible surface also protects the packaging bags.
- Inclined Transition Section: one medium-sized ramp conveyor. Its function is to bridge the height difference between the ground and the bottom of the truck bed. This equipment can be hydraulically raised and lowered, and the belt surface features anti-slip patterns to ensure that bagged goods do not slide or tip during the incline process. Its stable load capacity and adjustable speed make it a key bridge connecting the two horizontal conveyor sections.
- Extension Section Inside the Truck Bed: a 10 m section of Multi-Wedge Belt Powered Roller Conveyor. This conveyor is designed to be movable and is pushed into the truck bed before loading begins. Its compact structure and powered design can continuously convey goods from the rear of the truck bed to the front, allowing workers to simply stack the goods inside the truck without long-distance manual handling.

Workflow and Efficiency Improvement
In actual operation, the loading process became highly smooth. Workers in the warehouse place the bagged laundry detergent onto the 20 m rubber-covered roller line on the floor, and the goods are automatically conveyed by power to the edge of the loading platform. The goods then transition smoothly onto the medium-sized ramp conveyor, which has been adjusted to the proper angle, and are lifted to a height flush with the truck bed floor. Finally, the goods enter the 10 m Multi-Wedge Belt roller line inside the truck bed and are conveyed further into the depth of the truck.
This combined solution turns the repetitive labor that once required several people to carry goods by hand into a collaborative operation centered on equipment conveying and assisted manual stacking. According to customer feedback, loading efficiency increased by about 60%, while greatly reducing workers' physical exertion and the risk of goods falling. This continuous conveying mode from warehouse to truck is especially suitable for warehouses handling large daily shipments of bagged products.
Advantages and Applicability of the Solution
The successful implementation of this solution highlights the value of customized combined conveying equipment in solving specific loading and unloading challenges. Its advantages are mainly reflected in the following aspects:
- Continuity: It eliminates multiple manual transfers during the loading process, enabling one-stop conveying from the warehouse to the inside of the truck bed.
- Efficiency: The equipment runs at a constant speed, with stable and controllable loading speed, greatly shortening the time vehicles spend at the factory.
- Labor-saving: Workers only need to complete loading and final stacking, while the long-distance conveying and incline process are handled by the equipment, significantly reducing labor intensity.
- Flexibility: The height of the medium-sized ramp conveyor is adjustable, allowing it to adapt to different vehicle bed heights; the roller line inside the truck bed is movable, making it convenient to deploy between different loading bays.
